Chinmay Jani

Working with the MDR Collaborative has given me a unique opportunity and platform to increase my clinical research skills. In the past three years, I led the oncology research division of the research collaborative and have overseen more than 20 residents and medical students involved in various oncology projects. I have analyzed different databases for our projects, including GBD, WHO mortality, and CDC Wonder database. To date, I have conducted comprehensive analyses, including Join-point, Loess, and time-interrupted series analyses to evaluate these trends. Through my work at the lab, I have been fortunate to publish 12 manuscripts and 20 abstracts and was recently awarded an abstract scholarship by the American Thoracic Society Thoracic Oncology Assembly. MDR Collaborative has not only helped me hone my research skills but has also helped me increase my collaborative and leadership skills. I am incredibly thankful to everyone at the collaborative for working together on these fantastic projects!
