Medical Data Research Collaborative (“MDRCollab”) is a Small Charity
within the meaning of section 30(2)(d) of the Charities Act 2011 and a non-profit making Unincorporated Association limited by its Articles of Constitution owned by its members.

Liability:

The contents of our publications and articles and any opinions expressed in them are personal to the individual authors and are intended for professional scientific and medical interest and do not constitute advice.  Members of the public are welcome to read our materials but should consult a medical practitioner if concerned about illness.

Use and viruses:

MDRCollab  are not liable for unauthorised use nor alteration or corruption of emails in transmission. Whilst all reasonable precautions have been taken to minimise the risk of software viruses we cannot accept liability for any damage, which the recipient may suffer as a result of such viruses and advise you carry out your own virus checks before opening any attachments.

MDRCollab is a Processor within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The individual members are Controllers within the meaning of the GDPR. This policy statement applies to MDRCollab generally as well as to the individual members.

 

We only collect such information from our contributors and subscribers as is strictly necessary for the following purposes:
 

  • Identification of them for the purposes of notification of our activities and publications

  • Dissemination and distribution of our articles publications and scientific and medical papers

  • Collection and processing of contributions to our scientific and medical activities

 

We only use this information in connection with our  scientific and medical activities.

 

We do not share this information with anyone else save for similar institutions of learning and science and in furtherance of the cause of scientific and medical knowledge.

 

We do not retain any information for marketing purposes but we may retain identification information about our subscribers and contributors for the purposes of contacting them in connection with our activities

 

We recognise that our subscribers and contributors have various rights under the GDPR including the right to access a copy of the information we hold on them. We will not refuse any reasonable request for information save where we have ourselves had to make a protected disclosure.

 

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy and will be deleted upon request. Click unsubscribe on any email for removal.

 

We will however retain data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations for example, if we are required to retain data to comply with applicable laws.

Information including personal data, may be transferred to  and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.  If you are located outside United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including personal data to the United Kingdom and process it there. Your consent to this policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
