Augustin (A.J.) DeLago Jr.

Dr Augustin (A.J.) DeLago Jr. is currently completing his Internal Medicine residency training at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During his training, he received the Charles J. Hatem M.D. “Excellence in Teaching” award, for the dedication to the education of medical students. This award is selected by the Harvard Medical School/Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology students. Upon completion of his residency, he will further his education at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH to complete his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.

Prior to residency, he earned his Medical Degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. His undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology with focus in Genetics is from the Department of Life Sciences at the University of New Hampshire. While at the University of New Hampshire, he was an active member of the Division 1 football team, and a research associate, under Dr. Stacia Sower at The Anadromous Fish and Aquatic Invertebrate Research Laboratory.

He has presented at several national and international meetings including, but not limited to the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions, the Journal of American College of Cardiology and World Congress of Cardiology Scientific Sessions, and the Conference for the International Society of Travel Medicine.

His clinical interests include decompensated heart failure, cardiogenic shock, mechanical support, and valvular heart disease.
